RIP dear Xbox and PC
It looks like God is trying to punish me for all of my gaming. At least the desktop is still working. So, if you bothered to read the last post "Take THAT Boston College" you probably gathered that I was getting back into my college football game. I had my teams picked and had even created a player for every team and had played a game with two of them. I was happy with it. Today, after work, as I dropped off Final Destination 3 (which wasn't all that good) and Burnout Revenge (also not that good), I figured I'd get one of remotes for the xbox and the thing you plug into it to be able to watch DVDs on the xbox. So, I bought it for 20 bucks and I come home, wanting to pop NCAA 06 and resume my playing. However, the xbox apparently had decided that it had had enough. It stops working. I attempted to load a game, but I get this clicking sound along with a message saying that my xbox needed to be serviced. Turns out, something's up with the driver and I'd have to send it in to get it fixed... but the bad news is that the warranty has expired... so it would cost $70 to get it fixed, barring any sort of previous tampering (which I hope hasn't occurred). Dunno what I'm gonna do there.
Also, just a few minutes ago, I tried to turn the laptop on and it decided that it was also not going to work. Don't know what was going on, but it kept restarting on itself without getting set up. It would turn on for a couple of seconds, and then shut right back off. I think it had something to do with whatever happened to it when I played The Movies last (which is a good game, I recommend it to any Sims fans out there). The screen was getting all these yellow streaks on it and it was emitting some sort of fuzzy sound... (WHITE NOISE anyone?) and I just shut it off. Just about three minutes into this post, it thought "hmmm, I think I've caused Drew enough trouble for tonight, I'll turn on now." And it is now working... So the laptop is okay (I hope).
But unfortunately, the Xbox is still deceased. RIP Xbox.
